Crested Butte Ski Club is a largely volunteer organization committed to supporting winter sports competition in the Gunnison Valley, the CBSSC relies on many volunteer hours in putting on fundraising, athletic and social events.

Parents of CBSSC athletes are required to commit to assisting the CBSSC with a minimum of 16 hours per scholarship. The scholarship review committee will consider family involvement and volunteerism as a criteria in selecting recipients of financial assistance.
